Do I have to pay for my child to be in the headstart program at her current daycare center?

I am located in Chicago and my daughter just turned 3 in May. I keep hearing about a Head Start program available and I was wondering if the state pays the daycare or do I still pay. This question is for those familiar with the program or located in Chicago or Cook County.
